Furnace transformers are used in iron and steel plants for melting metal. The metal in melting pot is melted with very high currents.
Additional measures shall be taken in furnace transformers against these high currents, possible short circuits and over currents.
Earthing transformers are used for creating a neural point that can be connected to the ground for systems fed with delta connected coil.
They are not only used for grounding, but also can be used to provide output for the service needs too.
No. of Phases: 1-Ø or 3-Ø
Input to Output Ratio: 1:1
Line Frequency: 45 to 65 Hertz
Multi-Winding transformers have more than one winding and are used in SOLAR / WIND / INDUSTRIAL applications
Multiple Winding Transformers generally have one single primary winding with two or more secondary windings. But the beauty of these transformers is that they allow us to have more than just one winding in either the primary or secondary side.
The principal of operation of a multiple winding transformer is no different from that of an ordinary transformer. Primary and secondary voltages, currents and turns ratios are all calculated the same, the difference this time is that we need to pay special attention to the voltage polarities of each coil winding, the dot convention marking the positive (or negative) polarity of the winding, when we connect them together.
Multiple Winding Transformers can also be used to provide either a step-up, a step-down, or a combination of both between the various windings. In fact, multiple winding transformers can have several secondary windings on the same core with each one providing a different voltage or current level output.
Range: Up to 2.5 MVA in 11 kV, 22 kV & 33 kV configurations in Step Up Configuration of 3, 4 & 5 Winding Application.
